After Your PurchaseThank you for choosing Urban Lighting for your lighting, ceiling fan and/or furniture purchase. Please immediately inspect your new purchases as soon as you receive them. All claims MUST be addressed and reported within 5 days of receipt. Damaged goods must be reported, in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org, with 24 hours of receipt of delivery. Delivery InspectionFollow the instructions below when you inspect your purchases. All purchases should be inspected regardless of whether they are shipped from Urban Lighting or directly from the manufacturer.Look over your items carefully for cosmetic flaws.Notification of damaged goods is your responsibility. Damaged goods must be reported, in writing, within 24 hours of receipt of delivery.Save your sales receipt. All returns must be accompanied by a sales receipt.Returns will not be accepted without the original packaging. Do not throw away any packaging material included with your products, such as boxes, Styrofoam, inserts, or promotional material.Read the instructions supplied and install your fixture for correct operation.Lighting fixtures cannot be returned once they have been installed.Note: Unfortunately, there are several lighting manufacturers that do not take product returns. Please ask your lighting specialist about your specific manufacturer’s return policy and restocking fees before you purchase your lighting fixture.Installation RecommendationsUrban Lighting recommends all customers hire a qualified electrician to install your lighting fixtures. Urban Lighting is not responsible or liable for damage due to faulty installation. Urban Lighting does not install or un-install lighting fixtures. We do have list of local licensed electricians who can assist you. Tip #1 | For halogen lamps, you should avoid touching the lamp with your bare hands. The oil from your hands shortens the life of the lamp.Tip #2 | Low-voltage fixtures, please ask a lighting specialist about installing dimmers. We are not responsible for any damage incurred by dimmers not specified or recommended for your low voltage fixtures.Return PolicyIf you need to exchange or return your purchase, Urban Lighting will make every attempt to facilitate your return in the most professional and trouble free manner possible.All merchandise returned for refund, credit or exchange will be subject to our approval. The merchandise must be unused, uninstalled and in perfect condition. It must have all original packaging material(s) and be in the original box. Notification of damaged goods is your responsibility. Damaged goods must be reported, in writing, within 24 hours of receipt of delivery.Credit can be issued within 10 days of return date. All returned merchandise is subject to the factory restocking charges plus the return freight. Store credits expire after two years. All unclaimed expired store credits will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.Note: Unfortunately, there are several lighting manufacturers that do not take product returns. Please ask your lighting specialist about your specific manufacturer’s return policy and restocking fees before you purchase your lighting fixture.Product WarrantyAll lighting fixtures feature a standard, one-year factory warranty. Light bulbs and lamps are not covered by a warranty. Any fixture that is defective can be returned for repair or replacement within the warranty period. The factory warranty does not cover direct or indirect damages resulting from improper installation, abuse, improper storage, transport, re-shipping, etc. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties at the time of purchase. Kindly ask your lighting specialist about the product warranty and available warranty upgrades prior to purchase.Urban Lighting, Inc. and our Manufacturers shall not be held liable for any damages, including, without limitation, lost profits or revenues, cost of replacement goods, re-installing or un-installing, or damage to goods resulting from a lighting fixture purchase through our showroom, and use and reliance on information provided.
