CFLs (compact fluorescents) use 1/4 of the energy as an incandescent bulb to produce equivalent or more light, and can last 10 times longer. If 100 million consumers used 1 CFL instead of incan descant, C02 emissions would be reduced by 45 billion pounds, for a savings of $3 Billion dollars.
